Lots of changes this month. Our next meeting will be Tues Sept 30 at 7:15pm @ Central Market meeting room.
Rhonda Peters will give a recap of the Flash Forward Conference that just happened.
We will also have very cool swag to give away - including an ActionScript Reference Guide
FYI, we are still evaluating the Central Market meeting space, but Tuesdays will more then likely be the new meeting days. Â

Hiya Adobe Users Group,
 After much searching and evaluating pros and cons, we are going to try a new location. Central Market’s Common Room (located upstairs)
Drew Shefman will present a recap of the Flex360 conference happening the week prior. Anybody else who is planning on attending Flex360 and the UG Meeting is welcome to help share the knowledge of what they learned.
 Also, wanted to introduce Brian Dusablon as the new co-manager of the User Group.

Hiya Adobe User’s Group.
On my continuing quest for improving the space of our meetings… I’m looking for new meeting locations. I’m open to recommendations and or sponsorships.
Please either post to this group (http://groups.google.com/group/houstonaug) or to our blog (http://www.houstonaug.org) or send me an email at dshefman@gmail.com if you have some recommendations.
I *might* go back to Ziggy’s (the only complaint there was the food didn’t match what people had wanted to eat). But that’s why I’m looking for other options.
Here are some of the criteria
Required:
Free conference room that can hold at least 10 - 20 people
Free Parking (or validated)
Space available 3rd or 4th Mon or Tues of each Month from about 6-8
Preferred:
Projector, Screen and Speakers already there
Entrances that are not locked during the meeting time (IE you don’t have to call to get in)
A/C that is not turned off during meeting time
Nice to Haves:
Internet available to presenter
Food options
Spectacular to Haves:
Wireless internet for everyone
Drink options
Sponsored food options

Dan Mohr, commercial photographer based in Houston, will lead an open forum discussion about improving our images, from prep to post.Topics up for discussion may include but not be limited to:-Better intitial capture: Camera RAW format, Image size/Resolution, Intro to Lighting/ Exposure/ Composition/ and Design
-Tweaking the image: Highlights/backlights, Color Corrections, Contrast and Saturation, Adjustment layers, etc. for print and monitor
-Creating in Photoshop: Compositing an image from multiple elements
